Case study · REZET Global × REZET Hub · Sportswear · Argentina
REZET Global did the upcycling. REZET Hub worked alongside them on the metrics, so Reebok could share its impact with a record behind every figure.
Proof
Reebok invested in extending the life of what its customers had already worn rather than letting it become waste: shoes collected in stores and gyms, repaired, restored and donated.
The material had more value left in it. With creativity, innovation and a trained eye, what others see as waste can be recognised for what it still has to offer, then redesigned around a new purpose without losing the story of where it came from.

Evidence
Shoes collected through store and gym totems, then repaired, restored and donated; 62 m² of material recorded in the case.

Repaired and restored where possible.
Donated to people experiencing homelessness.
Outcome
For the “Reeciclar, Reeducir, Reeusar” campaign, collection totems were placed in Reebok stores and partner CrossFit gyms. Athletes left their old shoes, received a discount towards a new pair, and the collected footwear was repaired, restored and donated. Made by 19 people in social impact workshops.
